Andesine

A gem with a stunning red/orange hue (sometimes green) that is rarely seen and is considered collectable.   Briefly mined  in Tibet back in the early 2000, it is equally famous for its color and clarity. It part of the plagioclase feldspar series and has a Mohs rating 6.0 and  is treated using standard treatments also used for sapphire and ruby.
